EL PASCO

El Pasco coal mine is at upper left. The mine is just about exhausted and new coal deposits have been found at nearby Bliss. Also the mine branch links directly with the mainline and is becoming difficult to switch because there is so much traffic. However, they still get four hoppers out each run. The trestle bridge was scratch built by a past member and remains in excellent condition despite being 20 years or so old. The double track in the foreground is the passing siding at Lookout Ridge.
